I also updated the speed chart instead of dealing with such big numbers I basically simplified it plus I've added five points to the early number I've gone over some charts and I've come to realize I look for races where the spread is not so big and horses that are within four lengths at the half mile and to the stretch call and if they come out of a good race with not such a big gap they tend to be good plays so take a look I'm going to put the new file here I've also found out that dealing with sprint races on the chart is more accurate than the route chart

The reason I'm not posting the route chart is because route races are more Pace orientated so using any program or any other way it basically comes down to the pace of the race don't get me wrong sprints can do the same thing but we can better assess the race with Sprint chart here's a way if you want to assess early Pace in route races look at the half-mile number on the chart and the three quarter time that should give you an idea of the pace of the race

Here is some more out of the box thinking this is for you 1stbet account holders what you're going to see down below is the winners rankings for the top factors for that race I am only using the first 5 out of 10 so if you're looking to cut your handicapping time take a look at this there's a trend you just got to pick up on it ( NO-TURF RACES)
BTP
R1/#1 1-1-1-1-2
R2/#1 2-1-2-4-5
R3/#6 X-4-5-4-3
As you can see the fourth category the first three winners are in the top four now let go to TDN
R1/#5 X-X-X-1-X
R2/#4 2-1-1-2-1
R3/#5 X-4-3-1-4
again the 4th category so what am saying is use the TOP FACTORS look at the 4th category and take the 4 horses also by doing this at the end of the day and track each day you can see trends of where the winner is coming from just a little work on your part

So for BTP we had 5 races now out of 5 races the winner was ranked in the top-4 for that 4th factor
Now if you keep track going into the next day and on the next time you go to 1stbet you just click TOP FACTORS and look at the the factor the the winner is coming from and write down the top-4 now you have an edge over everybody
BTP
R1/#1 / 1-1*-1-1*-2
R2/#1/ 2-1*-2-4*-5
R3/#6/ X-4*-5-4*-3
R5/#2/ 2-3*-4-5-4 out of 4th factor
R6/#6/ 4-X-4-2*-2
2nd-factor got 4 out 5
4th factor got 4 out 5
This is a way of getting a contends list its real simple all do a little work at the end of day to have an EDGE on everybody

When you use 1stbet you don't need to make a mix just click on top factors and look at your first five factors after the race has run right down where the winner was ranked for all five factors now the file that I have posted with this is a spreadsheet format you're going to see the date track with the number of playable races and then you will see 1-fac 2-fac 3-fac 4-fac 5-fac that stands for the first five factors and down below you will see the amount of wins it is producing where the horse was ranked in the top three or you can make it four but the chart that I have done ranks the top three if you do this every day for the tracks you are playing you will gain a huge edge

Wow Jim your profile is very similar to my models I keep with program I use. I keep a model for each trk I play by surface and dist. Like you I like to play races for older horses on the dirt. I will play mdn clm races where there are no more then 1 fts / Like you I tend to limit playing turf races for the same reason. Who needs to deal with unknown factors if you don't have to. Thanks for sharing

Jim most consistent winners I know all keep records and know the tracks they play. Unfortunately the problem is most folks don't want to do the work to attain consistent results. There are no black boxes out there.

Tim I fully understand that and I I get it but you have to look at information in a different way to gain an edge over your competitor because if you don't you're going to be just like the 95% of the public that can't get past the best horse or the horse with the best figures which ends up to be the favorite and majority of the time they don't win also as far as record keeping you are very correct about that the majority of your handicappers don't but your winning handicappers do and when you're at the racetrack and a handicapper sees you with all these papers he'll turn around to his buddy and say that you don't need all that information crap just pick up the racing form it's right there in front of you so when I see you guys like that I like it when they leave money at the window because I'm coming for it

yeah good points LT. I am very inconsistent and have regressed in my capping last year and half or so. Not sure why? maybe too much action plays? I Like your work LT but wish you would play one of the contests we have here at the RX. Check out the guidelines of this 2022 Summer game. should be right up your ally. You do not need to play for money you can play the next one for fun. Would really like to see how you perform over 10K risked. give it some thought. thx.
